Psalm 56:3,4
Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?
A devotee was speaking thus: “Father, You are my refuge; I can do nothing without You”. He is going through great hardship, much sorrow, and suffering. And at that time, instead of looking to people, he is looking to God, because he believes that only God can give him the solution. When you and I face a problem, whom do we turn to for refuge? Whom do we look to? Do we look to people or to God?
If we look to people, how much help can they really give us? But what if we look to God? What if we fix our gaze on God?
He will definitely shows the way for us. Consider this simple example: If a little girl looks to her friend, will she receive complete support? Or will she receive complete support if she looks to her father?
When she looks to her father, that little girl will surely receive complete support. Similarly, if we look to our Father in heaven, we will surely find the answer to every problem we have. Whether it’s a financial difficulty, a relationship problem, loneliness, or an unexpected mistake, whatever problem you are going through, our firends may not be able to help us. But that Father in heaven will help you. Don’t forget this: He is the great God who can give you the answer to every problem you have. He is the great God who can deliver you, set you free, and uphold you. Look to Him.
Pray this: Jesus, please deliver me, guide me, and place me in a high position. I am asking you, Lord, to grant me the strength to live a life pleasing to you.
Proverbs 3:5–6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.
